Hitch

{4.5/5} “Any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet — just needs the right broom.”

Hitch is known as the Date Doctor — he helps men get dates with the women they’ve fallen for. At the moment he’s helping accountant Albert get a date with famous actress Allegra. Sara is a gossip columnist who doesn’t think she’ll find the right man. But when Hitch becomes interested in her, she’s met her match.

Hitch was released in 2005.

It’s a very funny movie.

How do you get the person you’re interested in to notice you? And when things go wrong, who do you give a second chance?

One more quotation: “Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it’s the moments that take your breath away.”

The soundtrack contains great pop songs and some playful music by George Fenton (Groundhog Day).

Will Smith (Men in Black 3) plays Hitch and Kevin James (the TV show The King of Queens) plays Albert. Eva Mendes (The Place Beyond the Pines) plays Sara and Amber Valletta (Gamer) plays Allegra.

Kevin Sussman (the TV show The Big Bang Theory) and Jeffrey Donovan (the TV show Burn Notice) have smaller roles.

The movie was directed by Andy Tennant (Ever After).
