The Zero Theorem

{4/5} “Putting the ‘you’ back in utopia.”

The Zero Theorem, released in 2013

Qohen’s work is crunching entities — he’s now working on the zero theorem, which Management specifically asked him to work on. But he was fairly crazy before — for example, he talks about himself in the plural — and working on this project is driving him crazier. He’s waiting for a phone call from a person who will tell him the meaning of life. Terry Gilliam’s latest movie is fairly bizarre, but the visuals and performances are terrific. As for the story, there were parts I liked and other parts I didn’t care for — like the ending. Christoph Waltz and David Thewlis star.
