Interstellar

{4.5/5} “Absolute honesty isn’t always the most diplomatic nor the safest form of communication with emotional beings.”

Interstellar, released in 2014

Cooper joins a team that’s taking a spacecraft through a wormhole to find a new home for humanity on the other side. He promises his daughter Murph that he will return, but years pass for her much more quickly than for him. Murph joins the team of scientists working on the problem of getting more people off the planet, while her brother Tom takes over the family farm. For some reason Christopher Nolan felt he had to throw everything he could think of into this movie. Even for a movie of almost three hours, some parts got short shrift. There are many amazing parts, but also some parts that didn’t make sense. Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway star.

I previously reviewed Nolan’s movie Following.
