Chuck (season 2)

{4.5/5} “Those seven years of MacGyver finally paid off.”

Chuck season 2, aired in 2008-09

Chuck still works at Buy More, where Big Mike is looking for an assistant manager. Chuck is still in a fake relationship with Sarah as part of their cover, but would like to be in a real relationship with her. And once the new version of the Intersect is up and running Casey has orders to kill Chuck. In the meantime, Ellie and Captain Awesome have gotten engaged.

This show continues to be funny and clever. We find out more about Chuck’s and Sarah’s pasts through flashbacks. We even find a tiny bit more about Casey — he used to sing in a choir.

There’s more of an ongoing storyline this season. There’s always a mission, but outside the mission events of one episode often lead into the next.

Stars Joshua Gomez and Sarah Lancaster.

Tony Hale joins the cast as a Buy More efficiency expert.

Guest stars include Michael Clarke Duncan, John Larroquette, Bruce Boxleitner, and Tricia Helfer. There are a bunch of amazing guest stars but perhaps the most satisfying is Scott Bakula as Chuck and Ellie’s dad.

I previously reviewed season 1.
