Cold Case (season 1)

{4.5/5} “People shouldn’t be forgotten. They matter.” — Lilly

Cold Case season 1, aired in 2003-04

Detective Lilly Rush is a member of the Philadelphia Homicide Squad. She gets pulled onto a cold case and soon afterwards it becomes her thing. Whenever new evidence is found, no matter how old the case is, she and her colleagues will investigate. A woman was pushed out of a window with her daughter — her daughter died — and she was in a coma for 2 years, but now she’s woken up.

The music consists of songs appropriate to the era of the murder.

Because decades have usually gone by between the murder and the time Lilly works on it, each character is typically played by 2 different actors.

The show is mostly about the cases, but it does show a bit of the detectives’ personal lives.

There are some disturbing parts, as it does depict murders.

Stars Kathryn Morris and John Finn.

This show was created by Meredith Stiehm (The Bridge).
