Supergirl (season 2)

{4.5/5} “Kara, you just missed Supergirl.”

Supergirl season 2, aired in 2016-17

When a new spaceship explodes soon after launching, Supergirl and Superman work together to bring it down safely — then Superman sticks around to help figure out what happened, and listen to Kara’s stories from Krypton. Kat is going on a leave of absence and she leaves James in charge. Winn now works at the DEO. And Kara is having trouble deciding what job she wants.

I also watched the “Invasion!” crossover, which consisted of episodes of The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow — with Supergirl as guest star. It was all right, but probably would have been more interesting if I’d been watching those other shows regularly.

It was another fun season. I really like the character of Kat, but they did a good job of getting along without her.

All the guest stars you want to see show up in the last few episodes. The ultimate villain, as on Once Upon a Time this season, is someone’s mother.

Stars Mehcad Brooks and Jeremy Jordan.

Lynda Carter guest stars as the President of the United States. Teri Hatcher and Kevin Sorbo guest star as Mon-El’s parents.

I previously reviewed season 1.
