Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

{4.5/5} “You see someone and think they have a weird head and then it just turns out part of their head is a hat.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, released in 2017

The Guardians are hired by the Sovereigns to protect some valuable batteries from a large monster, which they do. In exchange the Sovereigns give them Nebula, Gamora’s sister, who had previously attempted to steal the batteries. Unbeknownst to the rest of the crew Rocket has stolen a few batteries for himself, and the Sovereign fleet is after them — until a mysterious man shows up claiming to be Peter’s father.

It might not have quite achieved the perfection of the 1st movie but it’s very very good.

It’s about family.

It would have been nice to see on the big screen.

Kurt Russell is a fine choice for Ego.

Stars Dave Bautista and Sylvester Stallone. Directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy). Once again the soundtrack contains a bunch of great old songs.
