Stranger Things (season 2)

{5/5} “Don’t you think it’s weird… how we only seem to hang out when the world’s about to end?”

Stranger Things season 2, aired in 2017

Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will are back to playing Dungeons & Dragons. But they haven’t heard from Eleven. There’s a new girl named Max who moved from California — she plays video games. Will has occasional moments where he’s back in the Upside Down — and he sees something evil coming. Chief Hopper is secretly looking after Eleven at his place.

The plot moves at a leisurely pace but it’s great to be back with these characters again. The characters are brave and creative at solving their problems.

You’ll want to watch it with the lights on. You won’t be able to watch episode 8 without watching episode 9 immediately afterwards.

The soundtrack of 80s songs is glorious.

Stars Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp.

Sean Astin joins the cast as Joyce’s love interest, and Paul Reiser plays a scientist who’s now in charge of the lab.

I previously reviewed season 1.
