Iron Man 3

{4.5/5} “The old days, I never thought they’d come back to bite me. Why would they?”

Tony Stark is having trouble sleeping, and when he does sleep he has nightmares. In his spare time he creates new and different versions of his Iron Man suit. When a new terrorist emerges calling himself the Mandarin, Tony decides to take action. The Mandarin is connected to someone from Tony’s past, and the situation is much more dangerous than Tony realizes.

Iron Man 3, released in 2013

I saw it in 2D.

It’s a great action movie with lots of laughs and a more interesting story than the previous movie in the series. The relationship between Tony and Pepper was also more satisfying this time around.

The exciting music is by Brian Tyler (the miniseries Children of Dune).

Robert Downey, Jr. (The Avengers) plays Tony Stark / Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow (Shakespeare in Love) plays Pepper Potts. Don Cheadle (Ocean’s Eleven) plays Colonel Rhodes and Jon Favreau (director of the first two Iron Man movies) plays Happy Hogan.

Ben Kingsley (Hugo) plays the Mandarin. Guy Pearce (Prometheus) plays Aldrich Killian and Rebecca Hall (The Prestige) plays Maya Hansen. William Sadler (Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey) plays the president and Stan Lee (co-creator of the Iron Man comic book) has a cameo.

The movie was directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang).

There’s a short scene after the credits.
