Starter for 10

{4/5} “Ever since I can remember, I’ve wanted to be clever. Some people are born clever, same way some people are born beautiful. I’m not one of those people.”

Brian is just starting university and he’s excited to be on the challenge team, who competes in a televised quiz show that he used to watch all the time. His father died years ago and his mother now has a boyfriend. Brian is enamored of Alice, who is on the challenge team with him. Then there’s Rebecca, who’s frequently handing out flyers and participating in demonstrations. When Brian makes a big mistake, how will he be able to show his face again?

Starter for 10 was released in 2006.

James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) plays Brian and Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3) plays Rebecca. Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) plays Alice and Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness) plays Patrick.

The movie was directed by Tom Vaughan (Extraordinary Measures).
