Barefoot

{4.5/5} “‘Why can’t we just fly back on the plane?’ ‘Because I violated my probation and you’re an escaped mental patient.’

Barefoot aka The Wedding Guest, released in 2014

Although Jay’s family is rich, because of some bad decisions he’s stuck mopping floors at a mental hospital. That’s where he meets Daisy, who’s led an incredibly sheltered life. She follows him out and he takes her to his brother’s wedding where he pretends she’s his girlfriend. It’s not the most realistic story but it has a terrific sense of humour. It’s a tiny bit like Blast From the Past.

Directed by Andrew Fleming (The Craft).
