Snow White and the Huntsman

{4.5/5} “If he starts whistling, I’ll smash his face in.”

Snow White and the Huntsman, released in 2012

After Snow White’s mother dies, her father marries a mysterious woman named Ravenna. Ravenna kills the king and imprisons Snow White. When she finds out that Snow White can defeat her, she orders her to be brought before her. But Snow White escapes, and finds help from a huntsman and some dwarves. On the whole I enjoyed it a lot, but there was at least one scene missing — a further scene of the huntsman training Show White where we see that they like each other. The Queen’s rage was astonishing, and exactly what was needed to pull off that part. With its stunning visuals, it would have been nice to see on the big screen. Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart star.

Directed by Rupert Sanders (Ghost in the Shell).

A prequel is forthcoming, The Huntsman, with no Snow White.
