Robin Hood

{4.5/5} “What has eighteen legs and isn’t going anywhere?”

Robin Hood, released in 2010

Robin is an archer in Richard the Lionheart’s army. At one last battle with the French, Richard is killed. Robin and his friends head for home, England, not really knowing what they will do. When Robin returns a sword to a dead knight’s father he gets caught up with a woman named Marian and some unfair tax collection. It’s exciting, although fairly brutal. Ridley Scott directs, and Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett star.

It has the most interesting soundtrack I’ve come across in a while, by Marc Streitenfeld. My favourite tracks are “Godfrey” and “Fate Has Smiled Upon Us.”

I previously reviewed Scott’s movie Prometheus.
