Guardians of the Galaxy

{5/5} “Nothing goes over my head… My reflexes are too fast, I would catch it.”

Guardians of the Galaxy, released in 2014

Peter Quill, otherwise known as Star Lord, retrieves an orb from an abandoned planet — suddenly a lot of beings are interested in this orb. He gets thrown in jail along with a green-skinned woman, a short creature who looks like a raccoon, and a giant creature who looks like a tree. They break out in order to sell the orb, but complications ensue.

The minute you’re introduced to Star Lord you can tell it’s going to be a fun movie.

The plot is a bit complicated but you can follow it while you’re watching it.

It’s hilarious, visually stunning, and exciting.

Stars the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Directed by James Gunn (Super). The music is by Tyler Bates — the main theme is glorious. There are also lots of great songs from the 1970s and 80s on the soundtrack.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it. My earlier mini-review is here.
