What Happened to Monday

{5/5} “‘Do you have a plan?’ ‘I am the plan.'”

What Happened to Monday aka Seven Sisters, released in 2017

Because of overpopulation there’s now a one child policy. Of course, that doesn’t stop some people. Terrence has 7 granddaughters, septuplets. In order to not get caught by the police, they pretend to be the same person when they go outside their apartment. Each has their day of the week that they get to go out — but one day, Monday doesn’t return from work.

Noomi Rapace pulls an Orphan Black and astonishingly portrays 7 women who all look approximately the same. Clara Read, the actor playing the 7 sisters as young girls, also does a fabulous job.

You’ll be on the edge of your seat — it’s intense at times.

Stars Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe. Directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow). The relentless music by Christian Wibe fits the story perfectly.
