Lady Bird

{4.5/5} “‘They’re having auditions for the fall musical.’ ‘Do we have that here? … How am I a senior and not know we have that?'”

Lady Bird, released in 2017

Christine is in her last year of high school in California and decides to call herself “Lady Bird.” She’s hoping to go to college on the east coast but she’ll need to get financial aid. She’s met a boy she likes — they’re both in the school musical. She and her mom fight a lot but they also get along really well at certain times.

It’s about figuring out who you’re going to be.

Like life, it’s serious and funny.

Stars Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf. Directed by Greta Gerwig (Nights and Weekends).
