X-Men: Days of Future Past

{5/5} “Would you believe me if I told you I was sent here from the future?”

X-Men: Days of Future Past, released in 2014

In the future machines called sentinels are wiping out mutants and all who help them. It’s a war that’s being lost. Professor X and Magneto come up with a plan — get Kitty to send Logan’s consciousness back to 1973 into his body at the time. His mission will be to stop Mystique from killing Trask, the man who created the sentinels, because that’s what starts everything.

This time I watched the “Rogue Cut,” with 17 minutes more than the original.

It’s a gripping story featuring some beloved friends.

One more quotation: “Just because someone stumbles, loses their way, doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.”

I like Elliot Page a lot but he doesn’t quite fit in this universe.

Stars Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Evan Peters. Directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse). The thrilling music is by John Ottman.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it. My 1st review is here.
