The Lego Movie

{5/5} “‘It’s a highly sophisticated interlocking brick system.'”

The Lego Movie, released in 2014

Emmett is a regular guy. He likes to be a part of a team, he likes following instructions, and he likes to watch the show “Where Are My Pants?” When he accidentally stumbles into a deep hole at a construction site he gets something stuck to his back. That thing happens to the Piece of Resistance, part of a prophecy that says he’s the Special who will defeat Lord Business.

It’s absolutely delightful how everything works the way that real Lego would work. I especially love how water and explosions look.

It’s very funny.

It’s about using your creativity to do what you want to do.

Stars the voices of Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (22 Jump Street). The song “Everything is Awesome” is awesome.

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it. My previous review is here.
