How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

{4.5/5} “‘I thought this was a stealth mission.’ ‘They all start out that way. ‘” — Astrid & Hiccup

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, released in 2019

Hiccup gets a visit from Grimmel the Grisly, who’s been killing all night furies. Hiccup realizes that people won’t stop bothering them in Berk, so he proposes that they move. He convinces the village go in search of the Hidden World, which Hiccup’s father told him about as a child. The Hidden World is where dragons come from, and perhaps they can all be safe there.

This movie is fine but it isn’t quite as gripping as the first 2 — although the ending is astonishing.

There are many funny moments.

Stars the voices of F. Murray Abraham and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Directed by Dean DeBlois (How To Train Your Dragon 2). The music by John Powell is a bit more subdued this time.
