Toy Story 4

{5/5} “To infinity and beyond.”

Toy Story 4, released in 2019

Bonnie makes herself a new toy at kindergarten named Forky. Forky is mostly a spork so he has some trouble understanding he’s a toy. When Bonnie’s family goes on vacation, Woody reunites with Bo Peep at an antique store. He also meets Gabby Gabby, a doll with creepy henchmen who wants Woody’s voice box.

This is a worthy entry in the series, filled with the humour and heart you’ve come to expect.

It’s about treating your friends right, whether they’re humans or toys.

There are cameos from Betty White, Mel Brooks, Carol Burnett, and Carl Reiner.

Stars the voices of Annie Potts, Tony Hale, Keanu Reeves, and Kristen Schaal. Directed by Josh Cooley (storyboard artist on Ratatouille). Randy Newman’s score didn’t stand out as much as usual, but when it did jump out it was great.

I previously reviewed Toy Story 3.
