Made for Love (season 1)

{5/5} “Your plan is to put a bag over my head and put me in a trunk?”

Made for Love season 1, aired in 2021

Hazel Green has been living with tech mogul Byron Gogol in the Hub for the last 10 years. When Byron wants to use her as a guinea pig for his latest device, which will connect their brains together, she decides she’s had enough. She escapes to the real world, and makes her way home to her father — not because she’s fond of him, but because she thinks Byron won’t look for her there. Then she finds out that she already has a chip in her head and Byron can follow her anywhere.

With only 8 episodes, it won’t take you long to watch this show. The situation is serious, but it’s also very funny.

It’s about family, and living life on your own terms.

The story comes to a sort of conclusion, and the ending is extraordinary. They could, and should, do a 2nd season.

Stars Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, and Ray Romano.

Created by Alissa Nutting (writer on Teenage Euthanasia), Dean Bakopoulos (writer on the movie Don’t Come Back from the Moon), Patrick Somerville (creator of Maniac), and Christina Lee (writer on Search Party).

The mysterious and playful music is by Keefus Ciancia.
