GoldenEye<\/strong>, released in 1995<\/p>\n A rogue element in the Russian military has developed a space-based weapons system — someone has deployed it to wipe out everyone who worked on the project. But two people escaped the blast. And James Bond is on the case, tracking down a general he encountered 9 years ago — when his friend 006 was lost.<\/p>\n This is probably the 2nd best Bond movie (after Skyfall<\/strong>), at least on rewatch — it just has a more interesting story.<\/p>\n There’s also some astonishing action. The pre-credits scene is tremendous, as is the scene with the tank.<\/p>\n The scene with Q is particularly fun, as is the first scene with Bond’s new CIA contact Jack Wade.<\/p>\n Pierce Brosnan plays Bond for the first time in this movie, and continues for a total of 4 movies. I watched him in the TV show Remington Steele<\/strong> and was very happy when he got the part of Bond — he’s perfect for it.<\/p>\n Judi Dench plays M for the first time in this movie, and continues for a total of 7 movies.<\/p>\n Stars Sean Bean, Famke Janssen, and Izabella Scorupco. Directed by Martin Campbell (The Mask of Zorro<\/strong>). The music by Eric Serra has some terrific sections.<\/p>\n This is probably the 2nd time I’ve seen it.<\/p>\n
