Superman: Grounded<\/strong> (2 volumes) by J. Michael Straczynski, G. Willow Wilson, Chris Roberson & others, published in 2011<\/p>\n Superman is having some doubts and decides to slow things down — he goes for a walk, to get back in touch with the people of the country he’s chosen to call home. Along the way he helps people, of course — in big ways and small. And he demonstrates to people that they can do better — that they can be better.<\/p>\n I absolutely adore the character of Superman in this story — he cares about people, and he does whatever it takes to help them. He’s inspirational. Lois Lane and Perry White are terrific characters too.<\/p>\n Guest stars include Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash.<\/p>\n I like how both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne read comic books as kids — and they call each other “Smallville” and “Gotham.”<\/p>\n This is the 2nd time I’ve read these books.<\/p>\n
