The X-Files<\/strong> season 11, aired in 2018<\/p>\n Scully has a seizure. She has visions of the Cigarette Smoking Man and his plan to use a plague to wipe out most of humanity, including Mulder. She knows that their son is the key to saving Mulder. When she tells Mulder about all of this, he’s not sure it’s real — but since it’s Scully, he goes to check it out. When Mulder is on a wild goose chase, the Cigarette Smoking Man finds Skinner.<\/p>\n The first episode is pretty frustrating — they pulled an “it was all a dream” and the narration is absurd. The episode “The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat” was supposed to be funny but wasn’t.<\/p>\n As we saw last season, show creator Chris Carter isn’t writing the way he did in his prime. So I was looking forward to the episodes he didn’t write more than the ones he did.<\/p>\n It’s great to see Scully and Mulder working together again, but even Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny don’t seem to be totally invested in at least some of the stories.<\/p>\n There were some good episodes but on the whole it was another disappointing season — if they didn’t have a stupendous plan to bring the show back they shouldn’t have done so. It was also poor timing — in the age of Trump, The X-Files<\/strong> doesn’t really make sense.<\/p>\n Don’t expect the finale to be very satisfying.<\/p>\n Stars Mitch Pileggi.<\/p>\n Guest stars include William B.
