Meanwhile, the Resistance is on the run from the First Order. When General Leia Organa is knocked out of commission there’s dissension in the ranks — with Poe’s help Finn, BB-8, and a mechanic named Rose embark on a dangerous mission.<\/p>\n This is the sequel to The Force Awakens<\/strong><\/a>. It didn’t have the sheer excitement of The Force Awakens<\/strong> but the story was more interesting.<\/p>\n It’s long but I didn’t mind — in fact, I wouldn’t have minded seeing the original longer version.<\/p>\n Both established characters and new ones will have you cheering. A couple of parts near the end are particularly visually stunning. It’s also very funny in a lot of places.<\/p>\n Stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Kelly Marie Tran. Directed by Rian Johnson (Looper<\/strong><\/a>). The music by John Williams is glorious — weaving established themes for Rey, Luke, Leia, and Yoda beautifully.<\/p>\n
