They&#8217;re worth reading &#8212; even if you feel you&#8217;re missing a few things here and there, as I did.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Herbert (Frank&#8217;s son) and Kevin J. Anderson also wrote a bunch of <strong>Dune<\/strong> prequels, which I didn&#8217;t read. Their books are either good or great, but they don&#8217;t quite match up to what Frank Herbert was able to achieve &#8212; and I don&#8217;t usually spend that long in one universe.<\/p>\n<p>I saw the <strong>Dune<\/strong> movie many years ago &#8212; too many to have a coherent opinion about it. I saw the 2 <strong>Dune<\/strong> miniseries more recently &#8212; they were quite good.
