She thought her husband, who was in the military, was dead but he returns after a year. He behaves oddly and she eventually finds out he&#8217;s the only one who survived entering a mysterious area known as &#8220;the shimmer.&#8221; She joins a team to find out for herself what&#8217;s inside.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike, say, <strong>Tomb Raider <\/strong>(which I watched a bit of yesterday), you don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s going to happen in this movie.<\/p>\n<p>The visuals are interesting and the characters are terrific. There are some gruesome moments.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the strangest movie I&#8217;ve seen in some time. It mostly held my interest, though.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Natalie Portman and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Directed by Alex Garland (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/ex-machina\/\"><strong>Ex Machina<\/strong><\/a>).
