But I couldn&#8217;t think about anything without thinking about Stanton and what was going to happen next. <strong>Something<\/strong> was going to happen next.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martians Abroad<\/strong> by Carrie Vaughn, published in 2016<\/p>\n<p>Polly, a teenager on Mars, is sent by her mother to Galileo Academy on Earth. She has trouble with the gravity &#8212; and many of her classmates and teachers. She wants to be a pilot, and won&#8217;t let anything get in the way of that. Her twin brother Charles says they&#8217;re playing a game but Polly doesn&#8217;t know the rules and isn&#8217;t interested in playing.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t a bad book &#8212; I&#8217;m just not the right audience. It&#8217;s for young adults &#8212; although the blurbs on the book might fool you into thinking otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>How would a visitor to Earth react who&#8217;s never been here before?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not a big fan in general of the going away to school and getting picked on by students and teachers storyline.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 2nd book I&#8217;ve read by Vaughn.
