Crispin &amp; Kathleen O&#8217;Malley, published in 1994<\/p>\n<p>Tesa is still on Trinity, living with the Grus. Dr. Rob sends her a couple of students &#8212; her former roommate Jib, who may have Telepathic Sensitivity Syndrome, and K&#8217;heera, a Simiu who&#8217;s ashamed of what others in her family have done. They make contact with a new aquatic species &#8212; and then some aliens land who plan on taking over the planet.<\/p>\n<p>This is a sequel to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2018\/07\/starbridge-2-silent-dances\/\"><strong>Silent Dances<\/strong><\/a>. It&#8217;s about working together, and paying attention to all your friends.<\/p>\n<p>With an antagonistic species threatening our heroes, this is a fairly different book in the series &#8212; although also very successful. It feels a bit like an <strong>Uplift<\/strong> book.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 9th book I\u2019ve read by Crispin, and the 2nd by O&#8217;Malley.<\/p>\n<p>I previously reviewed the 4th book in the series, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/starbridge-4-serpents-gift\/\"><strong>Serpent&#8217;s Gift<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;To the herd, the world consisted of warm water, easy travel, and good food.
