{"id":12994,"date":"2018-11-04T21:21:49","date_gmt":"2018-11-05T02:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/?p=12994"},"modified":"2018-11-04T21:21:49","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T02:21:49","slug":"dacapo-choirs-white-lights-in-darkness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/dacapo-choirs-white-lights-in-darkness\/","title":{"rendered":"DaCapo Choir&#8217;s &#8220;White Lights in Darkness&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I attended DaCapo Chamber Choir&#8217;s concert &#8220;White Lights in Darkness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hear My Prayer &#8212; Leonard Enns<\/li>\n<li>Amen &#8212; Henryk Gorecki<\/li>\n<li>White Lights in Darkness &#8212; Lavinia Kell Parker<\/li>\n<li>At Sunset &#8212; Jeff Enns+<\/li>\n<li>My Song &#8212; Ivo Antognini<\/li>\n<li>In Sweet Music &#8212; David Archer<\/li>\n<li>Hymn to St. Cecilia &#8212; Benjamin Britten<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Gloria&#8221; from Missa Pax &#8212; Timothy Corlis*<\/li>\n<li>Night on a Starry Hill &#8212; Matthew Emery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Catherine Robertson played the piano for one piece (*), and Jenny Enns Modolo sang the solo for one piece (+).<\/p>\n<p>Of the pieces I knew, the Gorecki and the Britten were stunning. Of the pieces I didn&#8217;t know, the Jeff Enns and the Corlis stood out.<\/p>\n<p>The choir is directed by Leonard Enns.
