Antz<\/strong>, released in 1998<\/p>\n

Z is a worker ant. Unlike his fellow ants, he doesn’t really like digging. He feels like there should be more to life, but he’s not sure what that could be until he meets Princess Bala. Unfortunately Princess Bala is set to marry General Mandible, someone she’s not thrilled about.<\/p>\n

The animation might be a hair less amazing than today’s, but this movie is full of imagination and humour.<\/p>\n

It’s delightful every time. It’s about teamwork, and thinking for yourself.<\/p>\n

The dance scene is one of my favourites.<\/p>\n

Stars the voices of Woody Allen, Sylvestor Stallone, Gene Hackman, and Christopher Walken. Directed by Eric Darnell (Madagascar 3: Europe\u2019s Most Wanted<\/strong><\/a>) and Tim Johnson (Over the Hedge<\/strong>). The astonishing music is by Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell.<\/p>\n
