Jesse Owens goes to Ohio State to run track with the best coach, Larry Snyder. With Owens’s natural talent and Snyder’s practise techniques Owens beats several world records. They have their sights set on the 1936 Olympics. But that Olympics is in Berlin, and the Nazis don’t really care for black people.<\/p>\n

This is based on a true story. Owens’s daughters gave their approval to the movie.<\/p>\n

It’s an important and beautiful story.<\/p>\n

There’s also an interesting subplot about director Leni Riefenstahl.<\/p>\n

William Hurt and Jeremy Irons have small but important parts.<\/p>\n
