Here are the 12 I think are the best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best of the best<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>James Bond<\/strong> &#8212; John Barry<\/p>\n<p>Barry wrote the music for 11 of the first 15 <strong>James Bond<\/strong> movies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From Russia with Love<\/li>\n<li>Goldfinger<\/li>\n<li>Thunderball<\/li>\n<li>You Only Live Twice<\/li>\n<li>On Her Majesty&#8217;s Secret Service<\/li>\n<li>Diamonds Are Forever<\/li>\n<li>The Man with the Golden Gun<\/li>\n<li>Moonraker<\/li>\n<li>Octopussy<\/li>\n<li>A View to a Kill<\/li>\n<li>The Living Daylights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There&#8217;s a bit of controversy about the &#8220;James Bond Theme,&#8221; first heard in <strong>Dr. No<\/strong>. It&#8217;s credited to Monty Norman, who wrote most of the music for that film. But Barry worked on the theme too, and he even went to court to try to get the credit. Although he wasn&#8217;t successful he did work on 11 James Bond movies after the first one &#8212; and Norman worked on none.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Star Trek<\/strong> &#8212; Jerry Goldsmith<\/p>\n<p>Goldsmith wrote the music for 5 <strong>Star Trek<\/strong> movies, 2 of the 6 original series movies and 3 of the 4 <strong>Next Generation<\/strong> movies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Star Trek: The Motion Picture<\/li>\n<li>Star Trek V: The Final Frontier<\/li>\n<li>Star Trek: First Contact<\/li>\n<li>Star Trek: Insurrection<\/li>\n<li>Star Trek: Nemesis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Goldsmith&#8217;s theme from <strong>The Motion Picture<\/strong> was also used as the theme for the TV show <strong>Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/strong>.
