Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/strong>, released in 2018<\/p>\n

Miles Morales is having normal teenager problems when he’s bit by a spider and gains the power of Spider-Man. But there’s already a Spider-Man, so who does that make him? Miles runs into Spider-Man when he’s busy saving the world, and he makes him a promise. Meanwhile, Kingpin is opening a portal into other universes to get his wife and son back.<\/p>\n

This animated movie has a look to it that’s similar to comic books.<\/p>\n

It didn’t wow me quite as much as I was expecting, but it’s very good. Like many superhero movies, a fair amount of the story is taken up by fighting.<\/p>\n

It features stunning visuals, a terrific message, and lots of humour. It’s about using your power for good, and teamwork.<\/p>\n

Stars the voices of Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicolas Cage, and Lily Tomlin. Directed by Bob Persichetti (story artist on Monsters vs. Aliens<\/strong>), Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians<\/strong>), and Rodney Rothman (writer on 22 Jump Street<\/strong><\/a>). The energetic music is by Daniel Pemberton.<\/p>\n
