Star Trek \/ Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive<\/strong> by Scott Tipton, David Tipton & others, published in 2015<\/p>\n

Sulu and Uhura go undercover aboard a Klingon communications post to discover where their plans for conquest are taking them. It turns out that they’ve invaded another universe. The Enterprise follows a Klingon vessel through a portal — and they find an Earth in the year 3978. An Earth ruled by apes — and Kor has been providing them with weapons.<\/p>\n

I wasn’t sure about this crossover but it works quite well in the hands of these talented authors. They cleverly fit the story within the original Planet of the Apes<\/strong> timeline, starting just after the events of the 1st movie. They even explain 1 thing that happens in a later movie.*<\/p>\n

The artwork is better than most, with the scenery reminding you of Planet of the Apes<\/strong> and the Star Trek<\/strong> crew looking much like themselves.<\/p>\n

It’s an enjoyable tale, particularly recommended for fans of both shows.<\/p>\n
