The OA<\/strong> season 2, aired in 2019<\/p>\n Michelle’s grandmother hires a detective to look for her — he discovers she’s been playing a mysterious game in which she may have won $50 000. Meanwhile, the OA wakes up — in another reality where she kept her birth name, didn’t get shot, and Joe Biden is president. The person who shows up who says he’s her boyfriend is someone she doesn’t know, and when she talks to her mom Nancy doesn’t know her. In the reality the OA came from, most people think she’s dead — the 5 people she taught the movements to have some hope she made the jump.<\/p>\n You have to be a little bit patient with the first episode, as it goes a long way without showing us any of the characters we know — but keep watching.<\/p>\n If you thought it wasn’t going to get any stranger, you were wrong.<\/p>\n This season is great, and certainly worth watching for all fans, but it doesn’t quite have the same intensity or internal consistency as season 1.<\/p>\n Like season 3 of Fringe<\/strong>, they made the universe more complicated when they didn’t need to — it was already complicated enough. Especially since there are only 8 episodes.<\/p>\n I love the moment when Steve lets Jesse put his head on his shoulder to go to sleep. I also love any moment that BBA is doing something, as Phyllis Smith is perfect in everything she does.<\/p>\n You might say “What?” once or twice but the season does build to a nice conclusion.<\/p>\n Stars Patrick Gibson, Brendan Meyer, Brandon Perea, and Sharon Van Etten.<\/p>\n
