And then the aliens came, smashing everything. Now Emmett and Lucy live in Apocalypseburg. Emmett built a traditional house for him and Lucy to live in, but Lucy knows the house will attract attention from the aliens. And a new form of alien shows up, this time abducting Lucy. Emmett is going on a rescue mission, but no one else comes with him.<\/p>\n<p>This is, of course, the sequel to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2019\/05\/the-lego-movie-2\/\"><strong>The Lego Movie<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t have quite the same oomph as the original, but it&#8217;s funny and enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of references, but they&#8217;re used in a more clever way than in <strong>Ready Player One<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Bruce Willis has a cameo as &#8220;himself,&#8221; and Jason Momoa provides the voice for Aquaman.<\/p>\n<p>Stars the voices of Tiffany Haddish, Alison Brie, and Nick Offerman. Directed by Mike Mitchell (<strong>Shrek Forever After<\/strong>).
