He makes a deal with jailed Captain Jack Sparrow &#8212; he&#8217;ll get him out of jail if Sparrow will lead him to the Black Pearl. Sparrow knows something about Turner that he doesn&#8217;t &#8212; that his father was Bootstrap Bill, one of the pirates involved in the curse. In order to break the curse Captain Barbossa needs the blood of Bootstrap Bill&#8217;s child.<\/p>\n<p>This is probably the best movie based on a theme park ride, although I can&#8217;t imagine there&#8217;s much competition.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd half is more interesting than the 1st half &#8212; there are lots of fun parts.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, and Geoffrey Rush. Directed by Gore Verbinski (<strong>Rango<\/strong>).
