Walk the Line<\/strong>, released in 2005<\/p>\n

Johnny Cash forms a band with himself as lead singer and guitarist. When he’s touring he leaves his wife and children at home. He meets June Carter on tour and becomes infatuated with her. Meanwhile, he’s given every opportunity to drink and do drugs. Always hanging over his head is his father’s disapproval.<\/p>\n

It didn’t wow me quite as much as it did the first time, but it’s worth watching.<\/p>\n

It’s about friendship, fame, and second chances.<\/p>\n

Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon do an astounding job at not just acting like their characters but singing like them — and playing their instruments.<\/p>\n

Stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Robert Patrick. Directed by James Mangold (Logan<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n

This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.<\/p>\n

One more quotation, not from the film but from Johnny Cash. When asked why his favourite film was Frankenstein<\/strong>, he said: “because it’s about a man made up of all these bad parts and yet he still tries to do something decent and be someone decent.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
