Star Trek: First Contact<\/strong>, released in 1996<\/p>\n The Borg have returned to Federation space, and this time they travel into the past in order to assimilate Earth. Captain Picard and the Enterprise-E follow them to the past, where they encounter Zephram Cochrane. Cochrane is the first person to fly at warp speed, which attracts the attention of the Vulcans — and if that doesn’t happen, there will be no Federation.<\/p>\n With Star Trek<\/strong>‘s most terrifying villains, you will be on the edge of your seat. The crew’s interactions with the 21st century humans Cochrane and Lily Sloane provide some humour.<\/p>\n The scene where they walk on the outside of the ship is stunning.<\/p>\n It’s about fighting a vicious foe while maintaining your humanity — and not always succeeding. It’s about revenge, friendship, and heroes not always being who you expect them to be.<\/p>\n Written by Rick Berman, Brannon Braga, and Ronald D. Moore (the 3 writers of Star Trek: Generations<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Dwight Schultz, Robert Picardo, and Ethan Phillips have small but fun parts.<\/p>\n Stars Brent Spiner, James Cromwell, Alfre Woodard, and Alice Krige. Directed by Jonathan Frakes (several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/strong><\/a>). The music by Jerry Goldsmith is thrilling, and the use of his Klingon theme from Star Trek: The Motion Picture<\/strong> to represent Worf is delightful.<\/p>\n
