More tea, anyone?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Hunt for Red October<\/strong>, released in 1990<\/p>\n<p>In 1984 American and Soviet Union submarines play a dangerous game under the water. The Soviets&#8217; brand new submarine Red October has a caterpillar drive is virtually silent. Captain Marko Ramius wants to defect, but he also wants to make sure that the Soviets don&#8217;t keep the advantage of their new drive. Meanwhile, CIA analyst Jack Ryan is trying to find out everything he can about the Red October.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s very clever, and there are some beautiful scenes. It&#8217;s pretty serious, but there are satisfying moments &#8212; like when Ramius catches his mug when the sub heads downward.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s exciting &#8212; you&#8217;ll be on the edge of your seat.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, James Earl Jones, Sam Neill, Courtney B. Vance, Scott Glenn, and Tim Curry.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by John McTiernan (<strong>Medicine Man<\/strong>).
