One day she hears a pattern &#8212; and it&#8217;s determined that it&#8217;s coming from the system called Vega. She&#8217;s thrust into the spotlight and she and her colleagues find a 10 000 page message in the signal. When it&#8217;s decoded, it&#8217;s revealed to be plans for a ship and Ellie wants to be the one to go.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about scientific inquiry and exploration, and how politics and religion interact with those things. It&#8217;s about how the ambition of people with power corrupts procedures.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s still great. My only complaint is that the ending isn&#8217;t as strong as it could have been.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the novel by Carl Sagan (<strong>Cosmos<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Stars Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey, and Tom Skerritt. Also stars David Morse and Jena Malone.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Robert Zemeckis (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2019\/04\/welcome-to-marwen\/\"><strong>Welcome to Marwen<\/strong><\/a>).
