Enemy<\/strong>, released in 2012<\/p>\n Adam is a history professor. When he sees someone in a movie who looks just like him, he becomes obsessed with him. He tracks Anthony down and calls him, asking to meet — Anthony agrees. Meanwhile, Anthony’s pregnant wife Helen is very suspicious of the situation and thinks that Anthony knows more than he’s telling her.<\/p>\n This is an odd movie, and probably won’t grab you right away. It gets a bit more interesting once the two characters start interacting.<\/p>\n I haven’t watched a movie as baffling as this since I\u2019m Thinking of Ending Things<\/strong>. If you think the direction in this movie might be anything like Arrival<\/strong> or Blade Runner 2049<\/strong> it’s not.<\/p>\n If you’re going to watch it, watch it on a day when you have some patience — it’s slow moving. There was some interesting stuff in the 2nd half but it still was intermittent and the ending made me like it even less.<\/p>\n Jake Gyllenhaal does a great job playing 2 characters, of course. But the story will leave you shaking your head.<\/p>\n
