The second, in disco.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summon the Keeper<\/strong> by Tanya Huff, published in 1998<\/p>\n<p>Claire Hansen was summoned to Kingston. Needing a place to stay, she finds the Elysian Fields Guest House. The next morning she finds out that the proprietor has given the hotel to her. Not only does the hotel contain an evil woman who&#8217;s been magically put to sleep, it also has a hole in the universe. Her cat Austin says the cook\/janitor Dean will help &#8212; even though he didn&#8217;t know magic existed before today.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s hilarious &#8212; Huff has a glorious sense of humour.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about dealing with a bystander, a ghost who&#8217;s been dead for 70 years, a cat who talks, a vampire guest, and something from Hell.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 2nd time I&#8217;ve read it. This time I will read the sequels.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve read 2 books by Huff.
