She ekes out a living by going into the subway ruins, where no one else can go, and finding artifacts to sell. When a man comes to her with a ghost tethered to him, she agrees to take it for a couple of days. But she finds that the girl, Shai, has a second tether &#8212; to her body. Someone is trying to put them back together.<\/p>\n<p>Like <strong>Foundryside<\/strong>, the intriguing protagonist and unique setting will draw you into the story.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about being there for people who need you.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 1st novel I&#8217;ve read by Sumner-Smith, and it is her 1st novel.
