Ghostbusters: Afterlife<\/strong>, released in 2021<\/p>\n Callie and her two kids get evicted, but at the same time her estranged father dies and leaves her his house in the country. Trevor gets a job at a restaurant because there’s a cute girl there. Phoebe makes a friend at school who calls himself Podcast. Phoebe also talks to a teacher who happens to be a seismologist, who explains that the town has unexplained earthquake activity. Eventually they discover that Callie’s father was a Ghostbuster — and that there are ghosts.<\/p>\n This is a sequel to Ghostbusters II<\/strong>, ignoring the not-so-great 2016 reboot. Of course, it takes place 30 years later.<\/p>\n If you’re a fan of the original, you’ll want to watch this one. It’s a tiny bit repetitive but the kids make it a worthwhile movie.<\/p>\n Like the original, it’s a mixture of creepy and funny. With a fun story, this is the long-awaited sequel you were looking for.<\/p>\n Stars Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. It also features many of the actors from the original movies: Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver, and even the ghost of Harold Ramis.<\/p>\n
