Michael is a professor who teaches a class on American terrorists. His wife, who worked for the CIA, died some time ago. He’s now going out with Brooke, a former grad student of his. After taking neighbour kid Brady to the hospital when he’s in an accident, Michael becomes friends with Brady’s parents, Oliver and Cheryl. His son Grant becomes friends with Brady too. When Michael catches Oliver in a lie about some blueprints, he becomes suspicious — could his friendly neighbour be a terrorist?<\/p>\n
Arlington Road<\/strong> was released in 1999.<\/p>\n This is a suspenseful movie — I liked it a lot. What should you do if you’re suspicious of someone? Should you confront them or try to find out information about them? Should we be suspicious of someone just because they made one mistake as a kid?<\/p>\n Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski<\/strong>) and Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption<\/strong>) have the big roles — Michael and Oliver, respectively. They are both tremendous actors, of course. Joan Cusack (School of Rock<\/strong>) plays Cheryl and Hope Davis (About Schmidt<\/strong>) plays Brooke.<\/p>\n The movie was directed by Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Spoiler alert<\/strong><\/p>\n In so many movies the good guys win just because the good guys are supposed to win.
