Sawyer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Robert J. Sawyer is the author of such brilliant novels as <strong>Hominids<\/strong>, <strong>Calculating God<\/strong>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/wake\/\"><strong>Wake<\/strong><\/a>. He&#8217;s Canadian, and we once interviewed him in <strong>Challenging Destiny<\/strong>. On his blog he talks about his books, of course, but he also talks about other things that interest him. He answers questions that people have asked him, giving his opinions on a range of topics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ultraphyte.com\/\">Ultraphyte<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Joan Slonczewski is a professor of biology &#8212; she regularly teaches a &#8220;Biology in Science Fiction&#8221; course. She also occasionally publishes science fiction. Her amazing novels include <strong>A Door Into Ocean<\/strong>, <strong>Brain Plague<\/strong>, and <strong>The Highest Frontier<\/strong>. We once interviewed her for the <strong>Challenging Destiny<\/strong> web site. She talks about biology on her blog, and often poses an ethical question for her readers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaythefutureblogs.com\/\">The Way the Future Blogs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Frederik Pohl is one of science fiction&#8217;s elder statesmen &#8212; he&#8217;s about to turn 93. He&#8217;s been a writer, editor, and president of the SFWA. His fascinating novels include <strong>Gateway<\/strong>, <strong>Man Plus<\/strong>, and <strong>Jem<\/strong>. On his blog he often recounts events from the good old days, but he also gives his thoughts on current politics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nielsenhayden.com\/makinglight\/\">Making Light<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Teresa and Patrick Nielsen Hayden both edit books, mostly science fiction and fantasy, for Tor Books. Patrick also edits short fiction, and Teresa also writes nonfiction. The blog is written along with James D. Macdonald, Avram Grumer, and Abi Sutherland. It covers topics such as politics and publishing.
