In “Date from Hell” the Devil dates Bob’s daughter — of course, Bob is the only one who knows it’s the Devil. In “The Devil’s Birthday” the Devil is upset because God forgot his birthday again — he decides to leave the world and take all the evil with him. In “Bob Gets Committed” Bob gets sent to a mental asylum after performing a task for God — and the Devil takes\u00a0Bob’s place out in the real world.<\/p>\n

God, the Devil and Bob<\/strong> originally aired in 2000. Only 4 episodes were shown on TV but they made 13 episodes and you can find them on DVD. I saw 2 or 3 episodes when it was on the first time.<\/p>\n

God is thinking about destroying the world but he decides to give humankind one last chance — he will let the fate of the world rest on one person. He even lets the Devil decide who the one person will be — the Devil picks Bob Altman, an auto plant worker, husband, father of two, and drinker of beer. God and the Devil each try to win Bob over to their side.<\/p>\n

This is a very funny show, and the Devil is the funniest character. Of course, if you think the title is sacrilegious it’s probably not for you.<\/p>\n

God is played by James Garner (Maverick<\/strong>), the Devil is played by Alan Cumming (X2: X-Men United<\/strong><\/a>), and Bob is played by French Stewart (the TV show 3rd Rock from the Sun<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
