The US is an undemocratic country.<\/p>\n
At the very least, they need to get rid of the electoral college, eliminate the filibuster in the Senate, and jail 45 for his crimes. They also need to either add more justices to the Supreme Court or give them term limits.<\/p>\n
But all of that is for another day. Today the Supreme Court, which has been packed with extremist judges by Republicans, is going to throw out Roe v. Wade. In other words, men are taking control of women’s bodies (again).<\/p>\n
You can’t let that happen. In itself, it is terrible. The precedent will also lead to other terrible things — likely making gay marriage illegal and maybe even interracial marriage.<\/p>\n
The Republicans have been planning this outcome for decades. The Democrats failed to stop them with bold action. You can’t count on the Democrats to stop them now. The final ruling will come soon — in the next couple of months. That’s before the midterm elections.<\/p>\n
Every American woman, and every reasonable American man, needs to go on strike now until the Supreme Court changes its mind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
